Whovians say Good-Bye to 11th Doctor (cont...)
Moffat hinted to Doctor Who Magazine that Smith’s Doctor would be aware that his goodbye was near and, throughout the episode, he expresses that dread. Jenna Coleman, a.k.a. Clara, intrigued them by describing the filming of the episode as “brutal” and “traumatic”. (Seems like quite the opposite of Christmas, yikes!)
As all of us Whovians know, the Doctor can only regenerate 12 times; however, he’s regenerated a total of 13 times already including the War Doctor from Day Of The Doctor and his kind-of regeneration in the episode when Donna became DoctorDonna and there was the Doctor and the half-Doctor, half-human Doctor. According to Daily Mirror, Moffat explained that this much anticipated episode will answer the question of how Smith will be able to regenerate into Capaldi.
Matt Smith’s last episode of the Doctor will air on BBC America on December 25 at 9/8c. Remember, “change will come”.

McAllen Theater to Show Day of the Doctor in 3-D (cont..)
Day of the Doctor will star many of the actors that Whovians have fallen in love with such as Billie Piper (Rose Tyler), Jenna Coleman (Clara), and David Tenant (Doctor #10...or is it number 11? John Hurt threw me off on this one.) What is this episode about? SPOILER ALERT! The Doctor and Clara are stuck in the Doctor’s timeline (no, not Facebook), and the only way to get out is to open the Time War. The Daleks, the drama, the Doctor? Oh my! It will be an episode for the ages!
BBC itself has released a statement November fourth saying, “The Doctors embark on their greatest adventure in this 50th anniversary special. In 2013, something terrible is awakening in London’s National Gallery; in 1562, a murderous plot is afoot in Elizabethan England; and somewhere in space an ancient battle reaches its devastating conclusion. All of reality is at stake as the Doctor’s own dangerous past comes back to haunt him.”
So Whovians, prepare to embark on the trip of a lifetime, if you can still manage to purchase a ticket!

Xbox One VS PlayStation 4 (cont..)
Xbox One
The Xbox One will be released on November 22 and cost $499.99 right off the bat, making it one of Microsoft’s most expensive products to date.
There is no backwards compatibility, meaning hard copy Xbox 360 games will not be playable on the Xbox One.
The Kinect 2 will be built into the console, but it is not required for the system to function. It will feature the same voice and gesture commands of the original Kinect and will be able to detect even the slightest movements from players.
A subscription will still be required for Xbox Live, holding the same price as a subscription on the Xbox 360 at $59.99 per year. All online features will only be accessible through this yearly fee, including third party features.
Online players of the Xbox 360 will be able to carry over their Gamertags, Gamerscores, Achievements, and avatars onto the new system.
A rumored feature that circulated stated that the Xbox One will need a constant internet connection to function even single player games; this rumor was debunked by the CEO of Zygna, Don Mattrick. However, the console will require internet access the first time it is turned on for a mandatory update.
Another false rumor stated that shared games will not be playable on the system, or that there will be a fee to play used games. Mattrick debunked this by saying video game discs for the Xbox One can be passed around and shared just as easily as the Xbox 360.
PlayStation 4
The PlayStation 4 will be released on November 15, 2013 and cost $399.99, less than what the PS3 cost at its initial launch.
There will be no backwards compatibility, meaning PS3 games will not be playable on this console. However, an integration of the company Gaikai into Sony has created a possibility to one day have all the PlayStation games of previous systems be playable on the PS4; but as of right now, not even downloadable games of the PS3 will be playable on the new console.
The PlayStation Eye will be integrated into the system and is reported to have depth perception, sound detection, and be able to detect the position of players in a multiplayer game. The PlayStation Move controller of the PS3 will work with the PS4.
Unlike the PS3’s online play, the PS4 will require a PlayStation Plus paid subscription in order to access PlayStation Network, a yearly $49.99. However, third party online features like chatting and streaming will not require the fee.
This system will largely focus on social integration, but still be completely playable without an internet connection.
A “share” button on the controller will allow players to view and share instantly-made videos with their PlayStation Network friends during games.
Facebook and U-Stream will be accessible through the console, along with live-chatting. A new feature known as “hand-holding” will allow an online friend to take control of a gamer’s character to assist in completely a difficult part in a game.
