U.I.L is for Everyone
By Letty Delgado (Screaming Eagle staff)
Do you like to debate? Are you a writer at heart? Do you like your science classes the best?
UIL may be the perfect school activity for you. Not only is it fun, it looks great when you apply to colleges. Even if you don’t place, you still get to meet tons of people with the same interests as you. If you’re looking for something to separate you from all the other kids applying to that one college you just have to get into, UIL is just the thing. Deadlines are coming up fast, so sign up with the teachers during lunch of after school.

Review: Back in the Day
By Shane Lewis (Co- Editor In Chief)
The only thing to say about Back in the Day is that it was just really, really, really funny. The whole play centers on things only 90's kids would understand e.g., Biggie and Tupac, Crystal Pepsi, and of course, the inevitable end of the world, Y2K. Trust me, I felt a whole lot of nostalgia after watching this. The days leading up to the end of the world are filled with chick fights, Vanilla-Ice dance numbers, and all sorts of other chaos. The dialogue is witty and fresh and the whole cast has great chemistry together. Definitely the best play I've ever been to.
